At 65 Martin Luther King, Jr., Dr. SE The Georgia Railroad Freight Depot is one of the oldest buildings in Atlanta. Construction of the depot was completed in 1869 and The Georgia Building Authority restored it and opened it for public use in 1981. Today the depot is used to host receptions, ceremonies and events. It is large enough to accommodate 800 seated guests and has standing room for as many as 1300 with plenty of space for a DJ, band, or other live entertainment.
