Java Monkey in Decatur hosts a weekly poetry open mic (sometimes slam). The poets sign up at 7:30 p.m. every Sunday and the event beings at 8:00 p.m. This high-energy poetry event is hosted by Kodac Harrison who is wearing a black Java Monkey Slam t-shirt and glasses.
