The couple limits themselves to five dogs at a time; the group now includes Topper, the English Setter, from bottom front, found abandoned at a gas station; Herman, a protective Jack Russell, Chihuahua mix; Roscoe, the wandering beagle; Big Jake, who has an artificial leg joint thanks to UGA's veterinarian program; and Nola, held by Vickie, a Chihuahua without a jaw and very little fur found in the Gulley's neighborhood and living well past life expectancy.
