The Swinging Bridge over the Toccoa River is located on the Benton MacKaye Trail in the Chattahoochee National Forest. The 270 foot long bridge was built in 1977 by the USDA Forest Service in cooperation with the Appalachian Trail Club. To access the bridge drive 3 miles to the end of First Service Road 816 and the bridge is 5 minute hike from there.
